Bath Babes :)

What a week!! We've been the house of germs this week and I am soooo hoping they are about to leave the building. I'm over being sick...I need some sleep.

On a more positive note, both babies finally love their baths at the same time :D. When they were younger, Immy screamed and screamed (until a month or so ago) whenever we even approached the bath. At that stage, Madi just loved them. Then, when I changed over to the bath seats, Immy LOVED bathtime and Madi screamed lol. The last two baths have had lots of giggles from both babies, although each have ended abruptly thanks to Immy pooping in them..... not nice lol.

We're also very excited (well, Kara and I are!!!) about our newer car!!! We farewelled our Laser which we've had since Kara was a baby for a Holden Zafira and we loooooooooooove it. It's such a perfect car for our family and it's nice to be able to take whatever we like with us with all of the room! I'll have to upload some pics once I take some :D

She Amazes Me

It's been, perhaps, the most challenging week for me as a mum of three girls. Not because the babies have been difficult (or Kara lol) but because I've been unwell and it adds a whole new level of difficulty!!! My throat has felt like it has razor blades in it and of an evening, my neck swells and it hurts to the touch ~ it's driving me insaaaane. The babies are sleeping so well and now I can't sleep :(

Unfortunately for Kara, she's had to put up with me lol ~ it's times like this though when I realise just how much of a responsible little girl she is. Yesterday morning, I woke to her sitting next to me with Madi in her arms giving her cuddles. Madi had woken and Kara heard her chatting, so she picked her up before she got upset so I could sleep. NEVER would I expect Kara to do this, or never would I ask... I've been quite clear to Kara from day one that the babies are not her responsibility and I mean that. It would be very easy to fall into a pattern of frequently asking for her help with them and I'm so careful not to go there. She is still a baby herself :P.

One of my biggest concerns when I found out I was carrying twins, was the impact it would have on my girl. She had been a single child for 8 years ~ every spare moment of my time was happily given to Kara and that was about to change drastically. For the past 6 months though, there has not been a single moment whereby she has complained about the munchkins or how our lives have changed. She loves her sisters so very much and to say I'm proud of my girl is a huge understatement.

Madi and Immy are just so very lucky to have their big sister in their lives ~ they love her to bits already and it's so beautiful to watch their bonds grow.

I love you beyond words baby girl (and I DO love you more) ~ you're an amazing little person x

She Does Smile!

....and last night I got proof lol.

Immy is so difficult to photograph.... she sees the camera and squints in anticipation or turns away. She's so funny (and adorably cute :P).

Here is my princess in her bath last night ~ she loves her baths now (after months of screaming in them) and kicks her legs as soon as she hears the water running.

A New Beginning.....

Well, it's been 6 months since our two babes joined Kara and I, so I thought it was time for a new blog.... to share our new lives as a family of 4.

For those of you who don't know us, I have three gorgeous girls. Kara Jade ~ my princess who made me a mummy ~ is 8 years old and is highly spirited, intelligent beyond her years and makes me proud every single day. We have a bond I am immensely grateful for and she teaches me so very much.

Last December, our twin bubbas, Madison and Imogen entered our world. You can follow that journey on my pregnancy/birth blog here..... At six months old, they are already oozing with personality.... Madi is my pocket rocket ~ cheeky, gorgeous and has been mobile since 4 months old. She's my more challenging baby and likes to be held a little too much.

Imogen is, as Kara says, our Gummi Bear. She has the awareness that Kara had as a baby and is very placid most of the time. She's my chubba bubba and gives me the best cuddles. She looks more like Kara's twin that Madi's... she's very much like her big sister :)

I still can't believe I have three daughters. It's funny even typing that! Whilst it's challenging at times, I wouldn't have it any other way.... my girls are my world and my only hope is that they grow surrounded by love, health and happiness
